The Sisters Ranger District plans to remove a condemned bridge at Indian Ford Campground starting next week.

A safety concern for years, the bridge along the Sisters Tie Trail No. 4092 is closed to all traffic — hikers, bikers and horseback riders — according to the Deschutes National Forest. The bridge over Indian Ford Creek is expected to be completely removed by June 1.

The Sisters Tie Trail begins near Sisters and ends at the campground, according to the national forest. The national forest will review funding options to potentially replace the bridge.
