Reopening in Sunriver —Memorial Day weekend marks the reopening of the two restaurants at Lodge at Sunriver Resort — the fine-dining Carson’s American Kitchen (formerly The Meadows) and the more casual Twisted River Tavern (previously the Owl’s Nest). Both have been closed for several months for renovation. Chef Travis Taylor serves a seasonal Pacific Northwest menu at Carson’s, with three meals daily and weekend brunch. 17600 Center Drive, Sunriver; www.sunriver-resort.com, 800-801-8765.

Bend food carts expand — Meanwhile, two of Bend’s food cart owners have announced plans to open sit-down restaurants, with projected openings in mid-June. Both will continue to operate their mobile kitchens as well.

Bethlyn Rider will serve breakfasts and lunches at Bethlyn’s Global Fusion, in the former location of Second Street Eats. She promises “really unique” morning meals and midday sandwiches, including a Korean waffle with kimchi. Her plans are to offer dinners three nights a week beginning in October. 1289 NE Second St., Bend; www.bethlynsglobalfusion.com, 541-325-6297.

Joel Cordes has assumed the lease on Rose’s Cocina (the former El Burrito), with plans to open El Sancho for dinners by the official start of summer. He said the festively painted taqueria may later expand to lunches. www.elsanchobend.com, 541-264-0397.
