Aug. 26, 1961 – Feb. 23, 2015
David Marlon McCrea passed away February 23rd in Redmond, Oregon surrounded by his family, following a hard fought illness. David was born in Redmond to David and Alberta McCrea, Aug. 26, 1961, being the second child of five. While growing up in Redmond David enjoyed the outdoors. Regular fishing and hunting trips with his father and brother were some of his happiest times even during his early adulthood. Other memorable moments he recalled were the annual beach trips to Lincoln City with the rest of the family that included his three sisters and mother.
After his graduation from Redmond High David enlisted in the Navy. After six years with working a majority of that on an aircraft carrier, David returned to Oregon settling in Hood River near his parents. Shortly following his return, David met and eventually married, Veronica Evans and had a son, Craig. His employment career included retail management, auto body work, glass work and hotel maintenance. Recently David relocated back to Redmond, following his mother after the death of his father.
He is survived by his mother, Alberta, sisters, Sherri, Carrie and Lorri all of Redmond; his brother, Clayton and son, Craig of Hood River. In fulfilling David’s wishes a private memorial with family is planned in the Lincoln City area.
