Home prices up in Bend, Redmond

Home prices in Bend and Redmond started the year with a leap, according to a report released Monday.

In Bend, the median price for a single-family home last month reached $322,000, an 11 percent increase over December’s median and a 21 percent increase over the median price in January 2014, according to a report from the Beacon Appraisal Group.

Bend recorded 120 single-family home sales last month, 48 fewer than in December, but 19 more than in January 2014.

In Redmond, the median price for a single-family home hit $218,000, about 15 percent higher than December’s median and about 38 percent higher than the median price in January 2014, according to The Beacon Report.

Thirty-five homes sold in Redmond last month, 10 fewer than in December but equal to the number sold in January 2014.
