John and Sandra (Earl) Strickler, of Redmond, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a family celebration July 26 in Redmond.

The couple were married July 20, 1974, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Redmond. They have six children, John (and Nancy), of Hayden, Idaho; Lori Ann O’Brien, of Sweet Home; James (and Kathleen), of Hahira, Georgia; Jennifer Jackson, of Bend; Josh (and Cassie), of Sherwood; and Joe, of Redmond; 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Strickler worked for Top Notch Electric and retired in 2012. Mrs. Strickler works for St. Charles Redmond. The couple were both in the Navy: Mr. Strickler was an electrician’s mate and Mrs. Strickler was a dental tech.

They enjoy traveling to the Oregon coast and John’s ship reunions.

They have lived in Central Oregon for over 40 years.
