Bend Experimental Art Theater’s production of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” opens at 7 p.m. Thursday at 2nd Street Theater, 220 N.E. Lafayette Ave., in Bend.

Directed by David DaCosta, this version of the fantastical comedy is set in 1950, with no change to the language. The 1950s era adds a great twist to the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and Hippolyta, producers say.

Evening performances are at 7 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays till July 27. Matinees are at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through July 28.

Admission is $15, $10 for students.
