Prineville man ID’d in crash

Oregon State Police have identified the victim in a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 26 late Sunday afternoon as John Gordon Lamey, 75, of Prineville.
Lamey was driving a 2002 Porsche 911 convertible eastbound near Powell Butte while following a vehicle driven by his son, according to the OSP. He passed his son at a high rate of speed at around 5:15 p.m. and apparently lost control of his car.
The car rolled several times off the westbound shoulder of the highway, according to the OSP. Lamey was pronounced dead at the scene.
