Rabbi Moshe Greenberg, 84: Religious educator who survived a brutal Gulag in Siberia and secretly taught Judaism under an oppressive Soviet regime. Died Tuesday in Israel.

Chet Flippo, 69: Veteran music journalist who wrote the weekly Nashville Skyline column for a dozen years for CMT.com, where he was editorial director for the website and the cable channel. He was also an important contributor to the pages of Rolling Stone during the 1970s. Died Wednesday.

David Wall, 67: At age 17, became the youngest principal dancer in the history of the Royal Ballet (as of 1966) and was ranked beside Rudolf Nureyev and Anthony Dowell in leading male roles of the 1960s and ’70s. Died Tuesday at his home in London.
