A pair of brothers were arrested Monday night after a fight at the Meadow Camp day-use area off of Century Drive. According to a release from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement was called to the area on reports that three men were fighting, and at least one had a knife.

Law enforcement stopped an Audi on Century Drive that allegedly contained some of the people fighting, as well as several other vehicles leaving the area.

An investigation found that 28-year-old David Michael Seeley, of Bend, and three others, including victim 23-year-old Christopher Jason Aviles, of Bend, went to Meadow Camp together in the Audi, and three of the people joined up with a group already there. At that point, Seeley got upset and said he wanted to leave, kicking the Audi. He allegedly said he had a knife and would stab people if they didn’t leave. At that point, Aviles tried to calm Seeley down, and the pair began fighting. Seeley had a knife.

Both Seeley and Aviles sustained minor injuries, and Seeley fled the scene and left Aviles behind.

Seeley was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and menacing, and his brother Josh Seeley, 24, was arrested for a probation violation.
