• Kathy Caba , principal broker with John L. Scott in Bend, has earned the president’s gold award for 2013 for her high volume in real estate sales.
• Jillian Cole has joined the Family Kitchen board of trustees. Cole, a marketing manager at BendBroadband, will focus on helping the board with her marketing and media experience.
• Janeanne Upp has been re-elected as treasurer to the Cultural Advocacy Coalition 2014 board of directors. Upp previously served as president of the High Desert Museum.
• Neil Bryant has been re-elected to the Cultural Advocacy Coalition 2014 board of directors.
• Dan Cecchini presented at the 45th Annual International Association for Falconry and Conservation of Birds of Prey meeting, held in Doha, Qatar, in January. Cecchini presented on the impact that commercial wind farms have on wildlife.
• Dr. Dana Whitelaw , of Bend, has been appointed as president of the High Desert Museum. Previously the vice president of programs, Whitelaw holds a doctorate in biological anthropology from the University of Colorado.
• Brenda Johnson was the top sales agent at John L. Scott in Redmond for the month of January.
• Lisa Hart and Everett Decker tied for the top listing agent at John L. Scott in Redmond for the month of January.
• Don Baxter has joined Total Property Resources as a broker. A licensed principal broker and certified appraiser in Oregon and Hawaii, Baxter previously owned Baxter Realty Group LLC in Hawaii.
• Pam Stevenson has been appointed by the Small Business Development Center at Central Oregon Community College as business adviser for the Grow Oregon program. Stevenson is the owner of Sprocket Consulting.
• Heather Frederickson has joined the Duke Warner Broker team. Frederickson has been a Realtor for seven years.
• Erica B. Strader has joined Stahancyk, Kent and Hook in Bend as an associate attorney. Strader, a 2013 graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law, has membership in the Oregon State Bar, the Oregon Women Lawyers Association and the Deschutes County Bar Association.
