Nov. 8, 1947 – Mar. 4, 2014Jose Alzuri of Bend, Oregon, passed away at St. Charles Medical Center on March 4, 2014.Jose was born in Arantza Nafarroa Spain on November 8, 1947 to Carmen Maya and Fermin Alzuri. Jose attended Arantza ko Herri Eskola. He worked as a sheepherder when he first arrived in the United States at the age of 18. After three years of herding sheep he moved to Burns, Oregon where he worked at Edward Hines Lumber Company. After the mill shut down, he then moved to Bend, Oregon.Jose worked at many other wood products jobs in Bend.
