More than 400 swimmers are headed to Central Oregon this weekend to compete in the 48th annual Bend Open at the city’s Juniper Swim & Fitness Center.

The three-day meet, which is hosted by the Bend Swim Club, starts Friday at 5 p.m. Events begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and will run until 5 p.m. both days. Organizers expect approximately 435 swimmers from across the state.
