teen feats

Bella Wiener, has been named September’s High Desert Hero by The Center Foundation of Bend. Weiner, a senior at Bend High School, maintains a 4.27 GPA. She is a member of the Bend High swim team, president of the Gay-Straight Alliance and Spanish club and is active in speech and debate. She has volunteered as a tutor and swim instructor and also works with Locavore in Bend. Weiner has also spent time as a volunteer in Kenya and Guatemala.
