Summit

Gridiron Rib Feed — The second installment of the Gridiron Rib Feed is slated today, which includes a rib cooking contest open to both amateur and professional chefs. Organized by the Westside Athletic Foundation, the event raises money for equipment and safety upgrades for the Storm football team. Volunteers or those interested in attending or offering items for the silent auction are encouraged to visit www.gridironribfeed.org.

Football — Practice begins at 3 p.m. Monday at the high school football field

Parent meeting — A meeting for parents of students participating in fall sports is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22 in the high school cafeteria.

Central Christian

Registration forms available — Students interested in participating in fall sports can access registration forms at www.centralchristianschools.com as well as at the school Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Volleyball — Practices begin Monday at a location to be determined
