Brush fire near Black Butte ranch extinguished.

A brush fire along U.S. Highway 20 near Black Butte Ranch was discovered and extinguished this morning, according to a news release from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
Personnel from the sheriff’s office, Black Butte Ranch police and fire departments, and the Deschutes National Forest responded to the fire, which was reported by a hunter at 6:24 a.m. The fire was extinguished after growing to approximately ¾ of an acre.
Investigators contacted two 19-year-old men who had started a small warming fire in the area.
