Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep at her Redmond, Oregon, home with her family at her side on August 14, 2018. Betty was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, on September 4, 1931. She moved to Oregon with her family after WWII. It was in the Portland, Oregon, area, while she was in St. Joseph’s Nursing School when she met the love of her life; Donald Waters. They were married on September 11, 1954, in Lakeview, Oregon. Don and Betty settled in Lakeview after the Korean War to raise their family. After career moves to Portland, Eugene, Springfield, and the San Jose, California area, Don and Betty retired back to Lakeview in 1988. They moved to Redmond in 1999, to be closer to family.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; and her son, Robert. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Waters; her son. Thomas (and Nadine) Waters; and her grandson, Jacob Waters.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Redmond on Monday, August 20, at 10:30AM.
