Root

Lloyd and Rosabelle Root, of Bend, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a trip to Kauai, Hawaii.

The couple were married April 14, 1937, in Caldwell, Idaho. They have three children, Marv, of New York, Steve, of Medford, and Leonard, of Texas; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The couple has lived in Central Oregon for 61 years.

McCallister

Larry and Joyce (Keifer) McCallister, of Redmond, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner with family and friends hosted by their son, Michael.

The couple were married April 10, 1957, in Canyon City. They have two children, Michael, of Redmond, and Daniel, of Prineville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. McCallister retired from construction in 1998. Mrs. McCallister retired from bookkeeping in 1998. The couple enjoys fishing and shooting muzzleloader guns.

They have lived in Central Oregon for 32 years.

Lane

Eddie and Marie Lane celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They are planning a trip to the coast in the summer.

The couple were married May 11, 1947. They have one child, Jim (and Cathy); and two grandchildren.

Mr. Lane graduated from Bend High School in 1941 and served in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war, he worked for Cashmans Mens Store in Bend. Mrs. Lane graduated from Crook County High School in 1944.

In 1951, the couple began managing Prineville Mens Wear, eventually buying the store with their son. They have been retired for 14 years.

The couple are both lifelong residents of Central Oregon.

Burke

Glenn and Veda Burke, of Bend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Crooked River Ranch Club House.

The couple were married May 11, 1957. They have six children, Debbi Johnson, Joyce Tuttle, Toni Monroe, Sheri Marcouliar, Misty McGrady and Dusty.

Corinne Kelly Manning and Graham Russell Payer were married Nov. 18 at the Great Hall in Sunriver. A reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Jerome Garger and Vicki Wootten, both of Eugene. She is a 1997 graduate of Marist High School. She attended Lane Community College and Oregon State University, where she studied business. She works for a pediatric dental office.

The groom is the son of Stephen Payer and Melanie Donnelly, of Bend. He is a 1998 graduate of Mountain View High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Oregon, where he studied environmental studies. He also studied emergency medical services at Central Oregon Community College. He works as a firefighter and paramedic.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica.

They have settled in Bend.

Sasha Storlie and Justin Bronson, both of Bend, plan to marry July 7 at the Christian Life Center in Bend.

The future bride is the daughter of Terry and Sheryl Storlie, of Bend. She is a 2004 graduate of Mountain View High School, and she attended Oregon State University, where she studied business administration. She works as a Realtor assistant for Bend River Realty.

The future groom is the son of Bill and Pam Bronson, of Bend. He is a 2004 graduate of Bend High School, and he attended Oregon State University, where he studied business administration. He works as a universal associate for Umpqua Bank.

FitzgeraldDeHoog

Lindsay Fitzgerald and Edward DeHoog plan to marry June 22 in Corvallis.

The future bride is the daughter of Stephen and Karen Fitzgerald, of Redmond. She is a 2002 graduate of Redmond High School and a 2007 graduate of Oregon State University, where she studied environmental science.

The future groom is the son of Martha DeHoog, of Albany. He is a 1999 graduate of Marist High School and a 2003 graduate of the Oregon Institute of Technology, where he studied laser optical engineering. He received a masters degree in physics from Oregon State University in 2005. He is currently studying to attain a doctorate degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Arizona.
