What a bunch of arrogant whiners we have in the group of airport tenants. The construction is being done to directly benefit them, not the neighbors. In fact, the expansion will be a detriment to the neighborhood. Close the airport between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day. Come and go early and late. Need an airport at noon? Redmond is only 14 miles away. I drive it in 20 minutes! Have a little respect for your neighbors. We have too many pilots who don hearing protection because they know their craft are noisy. Then they turn directly over houses at full throttle, with no regard for those on the ground.

So stand up and take your share of the inconvenience.

No residents showed up at the meeting? Maybe it’s that they have discovered their word is worth nothing. Bend councilors do whatever they want.
