Squeezing out wildlife

Published 5:00 am Sunday, June 1, 2008

I believe that nature and animals are being squeezed into smaller and smaller land because of land development. We need to protect animals and nature to live and enjoy life. What do you do when you see a deer or any wild animal along the busy, noisy streets? Do you look at it for a moment and keep driving and think to yourself, “It’ll be fine,” or maybe “Someone else will stop to help it?”

Odds are, the “someone else” is thinking the same thing. It’s time to take actions into our own hands and think of how that deer feels when you’re driving by. I’d like to see more developers take responsibility for wildlife. Just remember, we need wildlife to survive. Without them, we just might not make it.
