Fire severely damaged a home in Tumalo on Sunday afternoon.

The blaze burned through much of the home at 65100 Gerking Market Road, said Cindy Kettering, a deputy fire marshal for the Bend Fire Department. The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m.

“I wouldn’t say it wasn’t a total loss, but very near to it,” Kettering said.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire and no one was injured in the blaze, she said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The home was built in 1910, and an addition was added about 20 years ago.
