The Farm Service Agency is offering microloans to help farmers and ranchers with credit needs of $35,000 or less, it announced recently.

The loans will have an interest rate of 1.25 percent and a term of up to seven years, providing a new tool for farms and ranchers seeking a small loan for start-up or operational needs, Lynn Voigt, executive director of the agency’s Oregon office, said in a news release.
