Bank of the Cascades plans to expand into Klamath Falls by buying the branch of AmericanWest Bank located in the city, Cascade Bancorp, the parent company, announced Monday.
The Bend-based bank also plans to take over the accounts of AmericanWest’s branches in Bend and Redmond, according to a Cascade Bancorp news release.
The deal would give Bank of the Cascades a branch in Klamath Falls, where it currently has none. The accounts at AmericanWest branches in Bend and Redmond will be transferred to existing Bank of the Cascades offices: the Bend Forum Branch at 2630 N.E. U.S. Highway 20, and the branch at 154 S.W. Sixth St., Redmond, according to the release. The deal must be approved by regulators.
