The Bend Spay and Neuter Project received a $7,500 grant from the Humane Society of the United States to provide free prevention and care services for 100 pit bull-type dogs in Central Oregon.
Free services include spay and neuter procedures, Deschutes County licenses and rabies vaccinations. Any Central Oregon pit bull owner is eligible to take advantage of the grant by making an appointment with Bend Spay and Neuter. As funding is available for only 100 dogs, appointments are expected to go quickly.
To make an appointment, call BSNP at 541-617-1010 or email bendsnip@gmail.com.
