The Ochoco National Forest has adjusted the closure area around the Corner Creek Fire, opening up a campground and trailhead.
Mud Springs Campground and South Prong Trailhead have been reopened, according to a Tuesday news release from the national forest. The Black Canyon Wilderness and trailheads with trails leading to it are open.
A portion of the national forest south of the wilderness remains closed because of concerns about burned trees at risk of falling, according to the national forest. Started by lightning on June 29, the Corner Creek Fire burned almost 30,000 acres before firefighters contained it.
