One-time Bendite Matisyahu will return to the city July 16.

The reggae/alt-rock singer-songwriter, rapper and beatboxer will bring his full band to Crow’s Feet Commons for two sets of music outside starting at 7 p.m. (gates open at 6 p.m.). Tickets cost $28 plus fees in advance and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at bendticket.com, Bloom Well or The Cosmic Depot.

The show is the first of three or four ticketed offerings planned at Crow’s Feet this summer, according to Parallel 44 Presents owner Gabe Johnson. Parallel 44 Presents will co-promote the Matisyahu show with Random Presents, but further ticketed shows at the venue will be promoted solely by Parallel 44 Presents. The company will also bring a number of free shows to the venue this summer.

“We’re just trying to go for stuff that’s already proven to do a few hundred tickets in town, and trying to set it up as a successful venue in both the free format and the perimetered ticketing format,” Johnson said.
