Military notes

• Joseph Z. Daley, U.S. Air Force airman, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Daley is a 2017 graduate of Summit High School, in Bend.

High school notes

• The Advanced Leadership class of Redmond High School raised over $2,000 for Sara’s Project, a fund of St. Charles Hospital Foundation that provides education, early detection and support services for breast cancer patients in Central and Eastern Oregon.
