Mia Bongers

April 18, 1928–July 27, 2018

Mia was born in The Netherlands in 1928. She followed her husband, Harry Bongers Sr. to The Dalles, OR in 1953. They moved to Heppner and then to Prineville where they lived for 17 years.

After raising her children (Harry and Annette), she began a career in retail sales in Prineville, Baker and ended her career in Bend, working at Kaufman’s and Roberts on Wall. She was actively involved in the Catholic Church, alter society and St. Vincent DePaul. She loved to entertain friends and family and was an excellent hostess. She was an elegant, loving, caring woman and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Sr. Her surviving family include son, Harry (wife, Ingrid); and daughter, Annette; grandchildren, Andrew ‘Sef’ (wife, Cassidy), Cory Denmark (husband, Justin), Aidan Rutter; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jovie and Vaughn Bongers, Josef and Cru Denmark; and her family in The Netherlands.
