Another candidate has thrown her hat into the ring for Bend’s City Council race.

Sarah McCormick announced her candidacy for Bend City Council Position 6 on Wednesday, joining Ron Boozell, Barb Campbell and Brian Hinderberger in an increasingly crowded race.

McCormick, a native Oregonian, has followed local politics since moving to Bend four years ago with her husband, according to her announcement. McCormick, the mother of two young boys, moved to Bend because of its lifestyle, culture and access to outdoor recreation, according to the announcement.
