Underground music booker Love Craft Collective will surface again at The Capitol on Saturday to celebrate founder and local sound engineer Garrett Drake’s birthday. The bill includes two returning groups that Love Craft booked earlier this year. Portland’s funky-soulful singer and keyboardist James Villa, AKA Brizzleman, played Bend in June, and will return with his Brizzle-Band, a six-piece that brings energy, muscle and ’80s flair to Villa’s songs. California trio Mookatite, which played the Domino Room in July, will round out the bill with organ- and keyboard-driven funk, soul, jazz and R&B. Note this show is ages 21 and older — a rarity for Love Craft — but on the plus side, it’s free.
Brizzleman and Mookatite: 8 p.m. Saturday; free; ages 21 and older; The Capitol, 190 NW Oregon Ave., Bend; thecapitolbend.com, facebook.com/events/523257608419263 or 541-678-5740.
