Oregon’s Penei Sewell opts out, declares for 2021 NFL Draft

EUGENE — The best offensive lineman in college football is moving on to the NFL without playing his junior season.

Penei Sewell, Oregon’s starting left tackle and the reigning Outland Trophy winner, announced he is opting out of the 2020-21 season to prepare to for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Sewell, a unanimous All-American last season, is widely projected as a top five pick in next year’s draft.
