- Let's Eat Club features a restaurant directory, happy hours, food-related events and local's favorite eateries.
Spencer Johnson hopes his new web app will be the only thing foodies need to stay up to date on Bend’s food scene.
Let’s Eat Club Bend is an online restaurant directory with happy hours and food-related events. Members can vote on their favorite restaurants, share photos, leave reviews and redeem restaurant discounts.
The app, which is in the early stages, had 550 users, 278 restaurants, 138 weekly events and 286 happy hours, at the time The Bulletin spoke with Johnson.
The idea for Let’s Eat Club spawned from Johnson’s desire to help restaurants weather the challenges of the pandemic. A Bend native, Johnson said he was working as a wedding photographer in Santa Barbara when COVID-19 struck.
“After seeing the challenges that our local restaurants were facing, I was inspired to create something that would help them stay open while bridging that gap between our local restaurants and the vibrant community,” he said, referencing the restaurants in Santa Barbara.

Following the app’s initial success, Johnson decided to introduce it to his hometown of Bend.
