‘Religious’ trees

After reading the news about Ashland’s elementary school’s principal removing the holiday Giving Tree from the school because it supposedly was a “religious symbol,” I just had to express my opinion.

Who do these self-righteous, self-centered people think they are anyway? If a tree is truly a “religious symbol,” then the forests better darn well be cleared of them! We can’t have our forests proclaiming someone’s religion now, can we?

I truly believe it is high time for a good dose of common sense in our schools.
