As their online biographies state, Tubby Love and Amber Lily found musical purpose — and each other — on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Their uplifting messages of love, unity and healing, backed by a mishmash of reggae, pop, sunny surf-folk and R&B, fall in line with like-minded artists such as Nahko & Medicine for the People, Trevor Hall, Mike Love, Rising Appalachia and more — all artists they cite on their websites. They’re also artists who have frequented Bend in recent years, so it’s not surprising that Love and Lily are headed this way too. The duo will perform at the Domino Room on Sunday in support of their new releases: Lily’s debut album, “Wild,” dropped last year, while Love released “Waves” in 2017.
Tubby Love and Amber Lily, with Stacie Dread and Mystic: 8 p.m. Sunday, doors open at 7 p.m.; $12 plus fees in advance, $15 at the door; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; midtownbend.com or 541-408-4329.
