As warmer weather signals the start of travel season, Redmond Municipal Airport is expected to be busy in the coming months, and airport officials are warning travelers that the airport parking lot may become completely full.

Instead of parking in the pay parking lot, an airport news release on Wednesday encouraged people to consider alternate options for getting to the airport during the 2017 travel season.

Such options include ride sharing, ground transportation services such as taxi service and vehicles for hire, recruiting friends or family for a ride, or other off-airport parking in legal areas, the release stated. Also, Super 8 motel in Redmond offers parking and shuttle services for a fee. More information can be found at www.aboutairportparking.com.

For people who decide to park in the airport lot, here are the parking rules and rates:

• $1 for 30 minutes

• 31 plus minutes is $2 per hour

• Maximum is $10 per day

• Every seventh day will be free for parking lot users

• Trailer parking is not accommodated. Trailers are prohibited to park in the pay parking lot.

• The whole pay parking lot is one rate, there is no long or short term parking.

• Motorcycles are prohibited from parking in the pay parking lot. Motorcycle parking is available in a designated area in the Vendor/Cargo parking lot.
