It was another big week for summer concert announcements. Here’s a roundup:
—This morning South Carolina-based Christian rock group NEEDTOBREATHE announced its Tour De Compadres will land at Les Schwab Amphitheater on Sept. 3. Mat Kearney, John Mark McMillan and Welshly Arms will open.
The show will start at 6 p.m., with doors at 5 p.m. Advance tickets cost $53 for reserved seats or $36 for general admission, plus fees, and go on sale at 10 a.m. April 15. Presales begin at 10 a.m. April 11 and run through 10 p.m. April 14 (use password LOCAL).
—Tickets for Washington-based alt-country artist Brandi Carlile’s Aug. 5 show at Les Schwab Amphitheater go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
Carlile’s most recent album, last year’s “The Firewatcher’s Daughter,” scored the singer-guitarist her first Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album.
Presale tickets are on sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday with password LOCAL. Tickets will cost $39 for general admission, $69 reserved, plus fees.
Tickets for both these shows can be purchased at www.bendconcerts.com or in person at the Ticket Mill in the Old Mill District.
—And just in case it seems like LSA is hogging all the summer concert fun: Pop-ska group Smash Mouth will perform at the Century Center at 7 p.m. June 24.
The 1990s hit makers, best known for singles “Walkin’ on the Sun” and “All Star,” released their seventh studio album, “Magic,” in 2012. Last summer the band made headlines after frontman Steve Harwell went into an onstage rant in Fort Collins, Colorado, after audience members pelted him with bread.
Tickets cost $25 plus fees in advance, and are available at www.bendticket.com.
