• Northwest Quality Roofing LLC of Bend, won the Central Oregon Builders Association 2014 Excellence Award for subcontractor of the year.
• Bend Heating won the Central Oregon Builders Association 2014 Excellence Award for green-building subcontractor of the year.
• Partners In Care has selected Neal Huston of Neal Huston & Associates, Architects, to provide master planning services for a 4.44-acre Bend campus. Partners In Care is a not-for-profit hospice and home health organization.
• The Oxford Hotel, in downtown Bend, has added three electric-vehicle charging stations for hotel guest use. Two Tesla charging stations are available for Tesla vehicles, and the third will charge all plug-in vehicles.
• Newport Avenue Market won the Unified Grocers 2015 Ben Schwartz retail grocery visionary award. The award is given to an independent retail grocer or grocery company that is a leader and an innovator in the retail grocery industry. Newport Avenue Market is owned by Rudy and Debbie Dory and their daughter, Lauren Johnson.
• Tumalo Garden Market, 19879 Eighth St., Tumalo, applied Jan. 28 to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for a new limited on-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider for consumption on the licensed premises and the sale of kegs of malt beverages for off premises consumption, and an off-premises sales license, which allows the sale of malt beverages, wine and cider in factory sealed containers for consumption off the licensed premises and allows approved licensees to offer sample tasting of malt beverages, wine and cider.
• The Cottonwood Cafe, now known as Jen’s Garden, 403 E. Hood Ave., Sisters, applied Jan. 26 to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission for a greater privilege, full on-premises sales license, which allows the sale and service of distilled spirits, malt beverages and wine for consumption on the licensed premises.
