Alberta Evadene (Thomas) Denman Gile Lewis, of Prineville, died Sunday. She was 90.

No services are planned.

Mrs. Lewis was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Ashland to Albert and Hazel (Crowson) Thomas. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1933 and earned a degree in elementary education from Southern Oregon Normal School. She married Wallace Denman, who died in 1956. She later married Norm Gile. After Mr. Gile’s death in 1990, she married Robert Lewis, who died in 2002.

Mrs. Lewis worked as a teacher for more than 37 years in Glendale, Veneta, Springfield, Crescent and Bridge. She worked for the Coos Bay-North Bend School District for more than 20 years. She retired in 1976. She attended Faith Ministries Centre International in Prineville. She enjoyed traveling on motorcycles, square dancing and sewing.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Thomas Denman, of Prineville, and Jim Denman, of Portland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and a sister.

Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
