MATHEWS, Va. — Stanford E. Parris, a former Virginia congressman who served six terms and was an Air Force pilot during the Korean War, has died. He was 80. Parris’ former chief of staff, Dick Leggett, told The Associated Press that he died from heart disease Saturday at his home in rural northern Virginia.
