Sisters heritage — The Sisters Saloon & Ranch Grill celebrated its grand opening on April 1 in the old Hotel Sisters. Following a full renovation of the old Bronco Billy’s, restaurant owners Aaron and Ashley Okura are serving a locally sourced menu of contemporary “cowboy grub” in a handsome space true to the building’s 1912 heritage. A cocktail lounge and music stage complement the dining experience. Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. 190 E. Progress report — Bend’s 900 Wall restaurant is scheduled to reopen toward the end of May, according to dining-room manager Derek Brendle, one of several partners in the business. The restaurant closed in November for maintenance work, intending to reopen in early 2016; when severe plumbing problems were discovered, a major renovation became necessary, Brendle said.
