Durham

Teen feats

• Rebekah Cleary, of Redmond High School, has been selected as a Ford Scholar. She plans on attending Oregon State University.

• Vanessa Aguirre, of Madras High School, has been selected as a Ford Scholar. She plans on attending George Fox University.

• Omar D. Pascasio, of MHS, has been selected as a Ford Scholar. He plans on attending Willamette University.

• Colton Goss of MHS, has been selected as a Ford Scholar. He plans on attending Southern Oregon University.

• Ryan Goss, of MHS, has been selected as a Ford Scholar. He plans on attending OSU.

• Azarias Eriza, of MHS, has been selected as a Ford Scholar. He plans on attending Concordia University.

• Matney Searcy, of Crook County High School, has been selected as a Ford Scholar. She plans on attending OSU.

• Jared Durham, of Ridgeview High School, was nominated by the northwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his short film “Klexos,” about a teenage boy coming to terms with the loss of his brother. Durham wrote, directed and edited the film, shot in Shevlin Park.

College notes

• Alexandira Shaver, of Bend, has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at University of Montana Western.

• Charlotte M. Smith, of Bend, has graduated cum laude from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in management.

• Riley Bailey, of Bend, has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Rocky Mountain College.

• The following graduates from the Oregon Youth Challenge will receive their high school diplomas:
