Workers install a refurbished stained glass window in 2023 in the historic St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend.

The soon-to-open private Catholic high school in Central Oregon, Chesterton Academy of Mater Dei, is now accepting applications for its first students in fall 2025.

The school will temporarily open at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bend. Spaces are limited, so organizers encourage families to apply early at the school’s website. 

Chesterton Academy of Mater Dei is also holding an information night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Fireside Room at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Redmond. Childcare will be provided.
