Jeff Papke, the agriculture teacher at Mountain View High School, was recognized by the National Association of Agriculture Educators for his “dedication and exemplary performance.” He received the 2024 Mentor Teacher Award during the organization’s convention in early December.

Papke has 29 years of experience and has mentored three student teachers in the past four years, all of whom have successfully gone into teaching. He has also served as an informal mentor for many other educators. Papke believes that improving the quality of educators in turn increases student success, according to the organization.
