The Lacs will bring hick-hop to Central Oregon and the Domino Room on Thursday. The Georgia duo (whose name is short for Loud Ass Crackers) were at the vanguard of the early 2000s country-rap movement alongside artists such as Kid Rock, Colt Ford (who will play his own Bend show in November), Uncle Kracker (who just played Bend last month) and Florida Georgia Line. Nearly two decades since they first teamed up, Clay “Uncle Snap” Sharpe and Brian “Rooster” King continue to marry their down-home, Southern storytelling and drawling flow to hard-driving beats and guitars. Their latest album, “Dirt Rock,” is their first release on their own label, Dirt Rock Empire, after a string of releases on Ford’s Backroad Records; the title is also a pretty fitting description, sonically, of what lies within.
The Lacs: 7 p.m. Thursday; $18 plus fees in advance; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; redlightpro.com, eventbrite.com or 541-408-4329.
