Bend’s historic-minded folk quartet Parlour will perform its swan song at McMenamins Old St. Francis School on Wednesday, kicking off the venue’s annual Countdown to the New Year shows. The band — vocalists, guitarists and husband-and-wife duo Mark Quon and Linda Quon, who also play together in The Quons; mandolinist/dobro player Mike Potter and fiddler Susan Bonacker Conner — will call it quits after six years together. During that time the group released two albums (2015’s studio set “Days of Plenty” and 2016’s live album “Seeing the Elephant”) and opened for artists such as Lee Ann Womack and The Ballroom Thieves.
“We’ve become really great friends and we have a lot of love, but we feel like we just want to explore something new creatively,” Linda Quon said. “We just felt like it was time.”
