This year’s Day of the Dead, the Mexican holiday honoring friends and family who have died, concludes Friday, and the Central Oregon Latino Partnership Program, Hola! and Rise Up International are teaming up to celebrate. The free Dia De Los Muertos event will take place indoors and outdoors at the downtown Hola! on the corner of Bond Street and Minnesota Avenue, and will feature live music from two of Bend’s most prominent Latin acts: acoustic trio The Hot Club of Bend (featuring Larry and His Flask’s Jeshua Marshall) and Latin dance powerhouse ¡Chiringa! Community-created altars commemorating loved ones will be displayed in the area, and the event will feature live art, Aztec dancers and more music from local DJ Theclectik. Come celebrate Mesoamerican culture in Central Oregon.

Dia De Los Muertos featuring ¡Chiringa!, The Hot Club of Bend, Theclectik, more: 5 p.m. Friday; free; Hola!, 920 NE Bond St., Suite 105, Bend; bit.ly/bbdiadelosmuertos or 541-728-0069.
