Last summer, two classic rockers walked into an amphitheater in Bend and showed the crowd the way. No, that’s not a joke setup, though a “Joker” was certainly involved — blues-rock guitar slinger Steve Miller, that is, who returns with British rocker and talk-box pioneer Peter Frampton to Les Schwab Amphitheater on Tuesday. After a successful team-up with their eponymous bands last year, Miller and Frampton were feeling the pompatus of love: “Having had such a fantastic tour together last summer, Steve and I decided to keep going this year,” Frampton said in a joint press release in February announcing the tour. Along with the artists’ respective hits, fans can expect these two musical brothers (they met in the late ’60s at the start of both their careers) to jam together during the Steve Miller Band’s headlining set.
